We are a family run health & wellbeing company with a difference.
Massimo and Helen live in Dorking with their family and have always been invested in Dorking life and community. A shared passion for Physiotherapy, movement-based rehabilitation and research, has always led them to constantly explore & develop within their profession. Over 10 years ago, they opened their first Physiotherapy clinic in Dorking town centre alongside their NHS work. As Surrey Hills Physiotherapy Ltd steadily grew, the dream of being able to expand into a central hub for the promotion of health and wellbeing in Dorking and the wider community, was realised organically. Now SHP Health, and based at The Barn at Denbies, that central hub continues to grow and evolve to meet the needs of the local community, whilst also extending services and expert training further afield. When not at work both Massimo & Helen enjoy having fun travelling with their 3 children, dancing and keeping connected to friends and family.

Sound Healer
Through an extremely difficult time, I found yoga, which became my peaceful pause button whilst everything else felt chaotic. After years of feeling lost, stuck, directionless and crying at the end of a yoga class, I booked myself onto a sound journey one evening. It left me in a state of pure peace and clarity. From that day, my path changed. It U-turned, and led me straight back to music, in a way that felt completely right. In a way that led me to help others to heal. Over the last few years, I’ve found myself guiding people around the world back home to peace and connection through what I do. I’m lucky enough have sung healing mantras to seas of sleeping yogis and played my magical instruments at yoga events and studios across the globe.

With regular practise, Nicole gained strength and flexibility in her body and was amazed at how quickly this was also true in her mind. Nicole’s Vinyasa classes use a mix of flowing postures, pranayama, meditation and visualisation to uplift and refresh on a physical and mental level. As well as having fun with postures. Nicole enjoys working with and supporting students at all levels of practice.

Clare’s personal yoga practice spans almost 20 years and after studying with the great master and guru Sri Dharma Mittra in NYC she began teaching yoga, meditation and breath work. Clare’s greatest passion is helping people and she’s been quietly (and sometimes not-so-quietly) honing her skills in a wide variety of fields, all with one simple goal in mind: to positively impact and improve as many lives as she can. Starting her career in the West End and in TV & Film, Clare successfully worked as an actor and dancer for many years. Alongside her often difficult and unstable chosen career path, she found her grounding, focus, and resilience in her yoga and meditation practice. Clare’s hope is that yoga will do the same for you, whatever you are navigating in your life. Clare’s classes are open to anyone, they are a safe space to release, let go and reconnect. No matter what your previous yoga experience is, expect to be challenged to explore the inner workings of your body and mind, and leave feeling refreshed and renewed!

I discovered yoga in my early twenties. It awakened something vital that felt like it had been dormant for a long time: an awareness of the relationship between my body, mind and spirit.
In June 2023, I qualified as a 200 hour yoga teacher with The Yoga People. I teach Ashtanga Vinyasa, Rocket and Mandala Vinyasa. My intention in my classes is to empower you with tools to deepen your relationship with your body, mind and spirit and your sense of connection to life.
I want my classes to be as accessible as possible, so I always give plenty of options for poses and prioritise ‘function over form’. I aim to create an environment to build physical and mental strength and flexibility, but also for self-exploration, loving acceptance, and hopefully, fun!

Also a Sound Therapist, Clinical Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner, Kat enjoys creatively interweaving these other healing disciplines into her soulful Vinyasa and Slow Flows too.
